Yes reconsider, Royal Purple has NO Molly in it. Red Line or Shaffers synthetics with a Royal Purple Oil Filter and your golden.

There is a massive oil thread on here with all the info you need. RP is fine but not the best for Rams. I went Redline. Pennzoil Ultra Platinum is also very good as well as the previously mentioned Shaffers which I'd never really heard of until the thread. That's the top 3 backed by research and oil testing if you want to save your self from reading the full 800 pages. And use a synthetic filter such as the Royal purple, Fram Ultra, or Wix xp

If you run Royal Purple make sure it is their high performance street (HPS) line, that is a decent oil, but their otc oil not so much. I also think their filters are top shelf no matter what oil you choose.

i would.

agree with others, check out the oil thread. research molybdenum known as "moly" while reading thread. if nothing else, you will make a more informed decision.

moly basics

Most oils have this, and Royal Purple otc used to have some of the highest moly levels then any brand except a few. That is why oil guys loved RP back in the day. But inexplicably one day RP took moly out of their oil, but they still have it in HPS. Here, you can see universal average and what RP has.
