So I'm a little confused/worried on where to run the wires for my cutout so that they're not so close to the exhaust or headers. Don't want the wiring to melt. How did you guys run the wiring to avoid this issue?

Frame rails are your friend like mentioned. There are usually small holes drilled in all the brackets that are welded to the frame. These make great places to run wires through, or put zip ties through to keep the wires away from the exhaust.

Take some pics as I'm interested in doing this as well, just worried that I've seen some people having problems recently.

Yea I've read some of those threads. What gives me some relief is that most say raceland provides excellent customer service

Like Trup said get some cover for the wires and make sure the ends are good and can keep dry far as no water getting in or corroding.

Ok here's what I ended up doing. With my longtubes and y-pipe and cutout after the 'y' the cutout ended up really close to where the jack is under my passenger seat. Didn't have to run much wire outside at all. Most of it I ran inside the cab. Here's a few pics I snapped of the wires coming out of the cutout then over the heat shield then through the plug under the jack.
