S&B Intake!!!

I see on S&B website they put a price on the '14 1500 intake today. Up until today it always said $0. They said it was due the end of July when I called them... wonder if this means they are close to market?? It also says "call for availability" on the part, which it didn't before either.

When you're ready, make sure to call them directly. They have warehouses in Canada to ship from; why pay a middle man?

I do like to support vendors on here, especially when it's good pricing, but there is a diesel shop here in Ottawa that is owned by a decent guy, the price is pretty much the same as US, but Canadian $$$, so it's a win. He said that once S&B makes it, he will call me. I'll call him tomorrow to let him know about the website, maybe he will call his contact at s&b.

What's the shop called? I'm 4 hours from Ottawa so I wonder if he'd ship things!

You're gonna like it. If you go oiled filter make sure to order the recharger kit at the same time so you have it on hand. :burnout:

I was gonna just order the dry filter but also get the 'sock' filter that can be pulled over it. I have a big K&N conical filter on another car and put one of their filter socks over it for added protection and piece of mind.

do we have a vendor that's taking the preorders I want that and a tuner! that should give this thing a little more pep to the step coupled with my 3.92's

Did you order this part? I used to live in Ottawa and will be there in a couple of weeks. I will arrange to have it ready if he has them at a good price.

Call Tim at TNE diesel (I posted contact info a few posts above in this thread) and ask him an ETA on the kit. He can call S&B and get you an idea. I had him order me up one but just said to call me when it gets in, I didn't ask an timeframe.

There is nothing to preorder, guys. The old part works just fine...if you want one, buy one now. I ordered mine weeks ago...installed it today on my 1 day old 2014. It fits perfectly. All they did was verify it fit...I guarantee it. They didn't make a whole new part.

When we talked back in April/May it was around the same price as US, $300. If it suddenly turns out way more, I'll just buy it from the US. But Tim seems like a fairly good, decent guy, so i am sure it will be $300.

Not to discredit you in any way...but when I called to order Robin, put me on hold for a min to make sure manufacturing would have the part ready for release on the 4th. So apparently they did change something, while it might be insignificant. I will have what they claim as the new part tomorrow. I'll take some pictures and see if we can see a difference. I paid 299...
