I've had 3 Fords, and 3 Chevy's all trucks plus many SUV's in Both brands, and as much as I can't stand Chevy neither of the brands ever had this lifter tick garbage. My Ram got this lifter tick fairly early, like 2000 mile mark. I like the Ram very much, more then most vehicles I've owned, but I don't understand how come they can't fix this ****. Why is this still happening? Go borrow Ford or Chevy lifter why don'tcha Ram?

Not sure since I've now only had 3 vehicles with the MDS/cylinder deactivation but maybe all this ticking is related to the MDS lifters? I had a 09 G8 GT with an L76 motor, lifter noise on start up starting around 7000 miles. Dealer said no real fix. My 2014 1500 5.7 was good when I sold it at 15,000 miles and my 2015 2500 6.4 at 8000 miles so far hasn't made a single peep er... tick.
