Today some ******* cut across 3 lanes right infront of me before an intersection going from the left hand turn lane and then decided to go to make a right turn. I had to slam on the brakes, then the light turned yellow and I stopped at the light. After I stopped yelling I looked down and the rpm was at 0 and the dash said move selector out of drive to start engine.

I also have been noticing when slowing down that the truck is trying to overdrive the brakes. If I put the truck in Neutral coming to a stop light it takes much less brake effort.

8HP70 Fluid has been changed along with filter and fluid was clean when I took it out. I think it is more a programming/tune issues.

I have heard of different service bulletins and flash updates to address the decel for this trans. Can anyone direct me to these so I can get it reflashed at the dealer?

I might suggest that your transmission fluid is a little bit low.
It happened to me after I changed the fluid and filter with the prescribed amount of fluid. It seemed like the engine with surge and then die sitting at a traffic light.
The mark on the dipstick talks about hot or cold level but how hot is hot or how cold is cold… LOL

I hear ya! Fluid level is correct and no dipstick on this 8spd just a fill hole on the side of the trans.

Lots of people have complained about poor decel shifts with these trans and having the TCM reflashed but would like to know what the Service Bulletin is before talking to the dealer :naughty:

I can check your VIN if you want to send it in a private message, and let you know which TSBs are available for your truck. Your dealership will also be able to look this up for you when you go in for service.
