I was really hoping to surpass my last trucks MPG. My dash display usually shows anywhere between 17.5 and 18. My Trip computer usually is around 17.1 to 17.5. But mathematically, by dividing the gallons I've filled by the miles of driven is usually around 16mpg.

18 would be great, 17.5 is what I used to get, 16 is slightly disappointing.

Is this normal Hemi mileage in a 1500 with an 8 speed? I was really hoping the truck would average 18+ fairly easily.

I get like 19-22 on the highway with my 6spd and 3.55 gears. That drops drastically once in in town which is most of my driving where I see 10-12.

I'm getting 17 average in my hemi 8spd crew cab and I've got 24" wheels. Granted they are not cheap junk brick wheels but I still feel like 17 is pretty decent consider I'm about 80% city 20% HWY. I was getting 12 in my last truck but it had a 6" lift and 35s lol

4x4 QC /3.55 Gears / 6 speed , Leveled with stock wheels & tires , 300+miles interstate =22.5 -23.5 mpg , all around driving = 19.5 + Evic #s .
Actual hand calculated is aprox -1 to -1.5 mpgs .
So I get 18 -22 mpgs year round . I obviously am NOT an aggressive driver ...

Everybody responding needs to elaborate on speeds to get their highway mileage.

Mods?

Is that 16 city or highway? If city, lots of stop and go?

Combined? How much city vs highway?

How heavy has your right foot been with the new truck?

What gears?

How fast do you drive on the highway?

How many miles are on your rig?

24-24.8 highway according to EVIC, hand calculated is roughly 23. Hemi 8 speed 3.21s and no more than 70mph.

I really think there are way to many variables with mpg.

I would say most of the numbers stated in this thread are way above mine..... I get about 12 mpg on average.

Average speed per fill up is about 18-20 miles per hour.

A 26 gallon tank lasts me about 10 days and my truck is my daily driver. I probably drive about 80% city. I have a lot of stop and go driving to work.

Its ok, I fill, drive, enjoy, repeat

5.7, 4x4, 6 speed, 3.55s, stock tires, leveled

On the highway is the only time these trucks shine as far as MPG goes. Around town I'm lucky to get 14. On the highway I've seen just under 24, but that was PURE highway driving with no hills.

Honestly, I don't consider 12-14 around town bad considering its 395hp 5800lb truck. My 06 Frontier with the VQ4.0 got 15 around town so I really can't complain.

Hard to believe some of these numbers. I get right above 16 calculated with mixed driving. EVIC is usually floating right at 17, take or give. I could maybe average 23 only interstate driving under 60..... and cause a multi-car pile up from driving so slow.

My Evic is nearly on point all the time - but I reset trip A and the MPG display every fill up.

Last weekend I drove 600ish miles round trip with 3 people including me, 95% highway, 66-67mph and 21.2-21.5mpg average, math confirmed. Right now, been dealing with unusually high traffic to/from work due to construction, ~19mph and 14.0-14.2mpg (and a mess of people that love to stop and go for no reason like it's the new hot trend). I usually average 22-23mph and 16.5-17.5mpg depending on how I drive and whatever extra errands I do.

Trip B is around 3700 miles ( last oil change), 25mph and 18.4mpg.

2014 4x4 CC Sport, 3.92 ratio, 8 speed, air suspension, all stock under the hood.

I'm averaging 12-14 mpg at the moment. I drive about 80% city with a lot of stop and go. The 20% highway is unfortunately also a lot of stop and go (Southern California). I have less than 4,000 miles on the truck, so it might get better as it gets more broken in.

I have a Hemi crew cab with 8-speed and 3.92 gears.

I have a hemi express regular cab, 3.92's and I'm getting about 14.7 according to the computer, but I've had it for only 1 month and can't keep my foot out if it, especially with the new muffler. Lol. My commute is only 5 miles to work, no freeway and a lot of sitting in the fast food drive thru, kills mileage....lol

I've got a '14 express, single cab , 35k, with the 5.7 with intake and cat back exhaust. I have gotten 27mpg in a 30 mile drive to work 50/50 hwy/city. That was leaving a little early and BABYING that throttle, now everyday driving gets me about 17.5 average on a whole tank. Driving like my truck begs me to drive it, i get about 15mpg which is what i was getting in a 6cyl '04 explorer wirth nothing to prove.

I have to say owning trucks gas mileage was never a concern. If I wanted great mileage I would take my 4cyl when I was going away. But on the same note I fully understand why you guys question it. :)

I average 15 in town with 3.92 gears, lots of stop and go and a fair amount of idle time.
