Someone talk me out of a S&B

well as the title says will someone please tell me the difference between the k&n 63 and the S&B besides the price

S and B is a closed box design. Should keep more heat from entering the intake. May not make much if any difference while running down road at 70, but might in town. I work in very very very dusty conditions and my engine gets really dirty so thats why I ordered the S and B to try and see if it makes a difference over the open box K and Ns i have run in the past. I also ordered the filter wrap. It will probably be a little quieter too because its closed.

it wil be here tomorrow. Put the 85mm TB on today. I am eagerly awaiting the intake to see if it helps. I work in south texas and wanted the closed box to see if it might keep cleaner air in. I know that its still gonna be sucking dusty air haha, but maybe not as much. I will letcha know tomorrow how it sounds.

got it from Moe's for $578.99 WITH the 85 mm throttle body. I think the intake was 299 by itself. I also got the wrap / pre-filter. I didnt get the "scoop" that u can get with it to go to bottom of bumper.

spend ur money as close to "home" as possible. Matt at Moe's is close to home here so support the good vendors LOL. He has done very well with me so far, even if he were higher priced it would be worth it for the service. Good luck sir

oh ok well i would order from moes but i have about 200$ in amazon gift cards so i could get a K&N for 25 bucks or a S&B for 75 but im just tryin to find witch one is better

I think you should save your amazon gift cards for exterior mods like flares or something, you might need the tech support down the road on a performance mod and Matt always does a great job with that.

Ya I'm not really looking around that much for a job but my buddy owns a metal shop and he said he could get me a job as a inspector there and get 24$ a hour that's what he does and he is 16 and makes about 650$ a week. Jut imagine all of the mods I could do

i went from a k&n to a s&b and the s&b is by far a better quality and better flowing piece. when i had the k&n after mudding there would be splashes of mud on the filter so thats something else to consider

that white kid.....installed S and B today, and it is THE best quality intake i have ever bought. It is very well engineered. Drove it and sounds good. Just right. Being a teen u may want a little louder intake, but it works great for me......I'm old.......And seems to pull noticeably harder from 50 on up so the performance is definitely there. Good luck with ur decision on which one to buy.
