Have a 2013 hemi with the 65rfe 6 speed, saw in the mods under a 100 that someone bought one. Would this help performance and longevity for this transmission? Does it work? Reliability problems? I'm completely stock right now. Want to buy a diblo i2 mainly for better shifts, but if this sonnax lp booster works, I would rather get that

I just installed one on my 03 last night. Supposedly the higher pressure helps the transmission last longer because the shifts are faster and not as sloppy. It took a few minutes of driving and shifting for the computer to catch up but now my shifts are quick and firm. I'm very happy with it, it just feels right now haha

Get a custom tune and get HEMIFEVER to boost your line pressure the proper way instead of using some gimmick and a resistor...

Yep spend $500 instead of $60 to get the exact same result...

The Diablo I2 you will be able to move your shift PRM's up and the tuning options are really cool. I have a 2013 also with the 6 speed and the Peddle Commander is the best thing I have done for my sloppy unresponsive throttle and tranny. Truck shifts firm and fast, I love it.

The firmer shift is only a small piece of what you gain from the tuner though. The Sonnax booster only changes part throttle shifting as well, where custom tuning will firm up both part throttle and WOT shifts.

Iwell maybe I'll bite the bullet and shoot for a tuner. I like what I hear about the pedal commander, but for a little less than a hundred I might as well get a full blown tuner. I'd prob get both if I could afford to but can't right now. Will the i2 make a good difference on a pure stock truck? I think a big part of what I want to change is the trans shifting and torque management. If I get a little more power that's a bonus.

I hope you dont actually think that.... :roflsquared:

Just on the singular topic of shift firmness. In the original post, he said he was only trying to fix the shift firmness. I know the tuner does a lot more then just that, but if he just wanted better shifting, I don't see a problem with a pressure booster.

He also posted he wants to increase longevity :) Thats the biggest reason I got my tuner was to boost line pressure and hopefully help that POS tranny to last longer.

I have the 6 speed, and It was only after getting a tune that I actually started to like it.

read up on WOT and the 6 speeds, plenty of threads here that covers how bad these trannys are.

How do I increase the shift firmness on the Trinity T1000 on a 2011 1500? Which parameter do I change? Thanks

You can't do it yourself. You need custom tuning to modify shift firmness.
