Tried searching here, asking in other threads about spintechs and even emailing the company.

I really like the sound of the street pro 9000.

Are they direct replacement for the stockers (it doesn't look like it due to size).

How much fab etc is needed to make em work, what other parts, pipes etc.

I have a 2014 1500 4x4 quadcab with the 5.7.

Anyone know which model I would (there are a boat load listed on their site).

Thanks in advance,

Not sure about the model number for your truck, but it was fairly simple to replace the factory muffler with a Spintech. I just did it. I replaced the tips, muffler and y-tube. I left the resonators in place. Nothing was too tough to do.

Gotcha. Did you "have" to replace the y-tube or was it something that made it easier or sound better?

So fairly direct replacement?

You would need the 9436 model of the Spintech. As for the Y-pipe its restrictive and should be replaced with a Magnaflow Y-Pipe. But that's up to you. You can talk to Moe's Performance as he sells it, part # 10778. There will be some fabrication involved as to the Y-Pipe and adding some tubing cause the Spintech is considerably smaller than the stock muffler.

I think the hardest part was the welding of the pipes from the muffler back, the double out put from the Spintech are close to each other.

As noted above, that is the correct part number for the Spintech 9000, I just looked. Also, the y-pipe, purchased from Moe's, along with a set of their awesome 5" tips, was a bit of work. Nothing bad and nothing a muffler shop can not handle. The tips are straight replacements for the stock tips and took about 5 minutes to install.

I enjoy the sound. Deep growl at start up and when using the skinny pedal. There is some drone. I, and of greater importance the wife and kids, do not think it is bad.

Here are a couple of pics of how the Magnaflow Y-Pipe was installed cause its not a direct fit.

I have the Spintech 12" 6436 and my **** guy charged $60 to install it. Kind of wish I had gone with the 9436, but it still sounds killer with the 6436. It is a very small muffler, a LOT smaller than the stocker.

I wouldn't say mine has a drone, ala Flowmaster, but you can hear it at highway speeds. None of that ear pulsating noise that Flo's make, just a nice purr. Definitely barks at startup.

Hi all, I just installed the spintech 9000 series and I have a question about the resonators. Did you leave them on or did you remove them? I only ask cause I'm getting a pulsating noise when in the ECO mode.

IMHO any aftermarket muffler is going to sound like **** once the MDS kicks in. Cure---turn the music up.

Mine was same way with 9000 pro but they all sound bad unless you turn MDS (4 cylinder mode) off.
Turned mine off with a tuner & increased mileage 1 to 1.5 mpg & sounds great.
