Ha ha , I didn't scare anyone LOL , I merely suggested he read up on our thread and then to come back.....I think you guys scared him away, I blame rlk.
At the risk of being burned for not reading all 818 pages , what should I be looking for. In my next OC? I have only run Pup 5w20 and Mobil 1 in my 5.7, but and I prefer pup but that's being tough to find.
Mobil1 seems to give a bit of a tick, so I am open to the collective wisdom of oils or oil additives that I can access that will help with the tick.
1rst off , step up to a 30 wt oil , PUP , Mobile 1 or even PYB .At the risk of being burned for not reading all 818 pages , what should I be looking for. In my next OC? I have only run Pup 5w20 and Mobil 1 in my 5.7, but and I prefer pup but that's being tough to find.

WI: I'm curious was this (bit of a tick) present with the PUP 5W-20 as well?
Debunked ha ha to say the least , many have ran 40 wt with zero mds issues , you don't have to go back far to see that . I've ran 40wt oil for over 6k with no issues Sir.When I first got the truck I poured over the forum posts here and drove to the middle of nowhere to get the pup 5w20. I thought the engine ran great with virtually no tick. The Mobil 1 oil changes seem to generate more tick, but that might be in my head.
Interesting comments on the 5w30, I suppose somewhere in the now 819 pages the worry about the mds and use of anything other than 5w20 has been debunked.
