Im 180. If you run a too cold of one it will make the computer think its in a closed loop meaning that it thinks the engine is cold. (start up) You wont get the full potential of the performance.

180 is the way to go for a lightly modded truck. I sell both the Jet and CST 180 stats, but they are a little more expensive than what you can get at the local parts store.

From what I've read people who have 2011-2012 trucks have been having issues when adding the 180 thermostat. Since there are no programmers available yet you can't reprogram the computer to work with the lower temp thermostat

The cooler temps are making the computer think something is wrong. I know it puts up a code. I can't remember off hand if it was doing anything else

^^ This. Not major problems like its gonna run like ****. But the computer thinks the engine is always cold like when you first start it up. Its like its in a constent choke or cold loop. Bad gas milage, runs richer cause its dumping more fuel. You could have hesitation fouled plugs in such.

Edit. I thought Siver-Bullet quoted me. Nevermind Carry on.

I don't have a 4th gen but I haven't had any issues with mine. Yes I have a programmer but I'm running a canned tune.

I wonder what would happen in a cold climate, where we see down to -35*C (close to -40*F) each winter??
