Is it just me or is the 2nd to 3rd rmp difference minimal when shifting manually with the bump shifter. Ive got a 10' with the hemi in it. I think the rpms may have dropped a couple hundred shifting from 2nd to 3rd at 3k rpm but the 1st to 2nd is more like 1500 rpm drop...... any thoughts on this? Or is supposed to be like that.....

When did they start doing that? Must be a 4th gen deal, none of my other rams were like that. Whats the point of having that, supposed to be better for towing?

All rams with the 545rfe(including your 07) and the 2012 with the new 6 speed update all have second prime. Except with 4th gens you can actually choose the gear whereas the 3rd gens it's just a passing gear and you can't manually select it

Yea, I guess i just haven't noticed it on my 07' because it doesn't have the bump shift option like the 10' does so i never hold gears in it manually. Man I tell ya I've learned something new about my rams near every time I've logged on here. Thanks guys......
