I have a 2011 dodge ram 1500 with the 4.7 v8. I bought a camper last year and have taken it out several times now with no issues. Last month we took it camping and on the way my transmission started acting weird. We were going up a hill a out an hour in and I heard a loud whine like the transmission slipped changing gears then sounded fine. We arrived about 4 miles later and when I stopped, I couldn't take off because the transmission was stuck in 4th gear. I had to turn truck off and put in park. Take off tow haul and then turn back on to get truck to start in 1st gear again. This did not happen anymore after bit have been worried since. Any ideas what this might be?
