Something is seriously wrong with your truck if all you can get is 11mpg. If you're running that gas saver tuner that could be the culprit. I'd switch it back to the stock tune and see if your mileage gets better. I get better than 11mpg in the city. I get like 14mpg city and I've had my truck as high as 21.6 average on the highway.

Using 89 octane I average 13mpg, thats with my current set up..once tuners come out I hope to get an average of 15mpg on a 89 tune!

Now that we're into colder weather, we're getting 12.5 MPG where we were at 15 all summer (mostly city driving). My cars mileage goes down in the winter as well, and we don't warm our vehicles up; I think its the dense, cold air has the vehicles dumping more gas in to mix with it. You'd think it should calculate that into effect but I have no other explanation.

There are additives in winter blend fuel that hurts fuel economy

Definitely lay off the peddle on the right. I average 14.8 mixed city/highway with a lift and 35's in a crew cab. When I spend a whole tank on the interstate and run 65-68 I can get 18.3.

There's a Gogas in my town that now sells ethanol FREE 93 octane for the same price as 93 anywhere else, filled my tank twice there now. Hurting my fuel economy to run ethanol free in this colder weather??

The deal with winter blend fuel is it us blended with more butane and evaporates quicker and is not as enviromentally friendly as the summer blended fuel.

hopefully my truck gets better as it breaks in more, got just over 2000km on it now, and I average about 15mpg, and I only do about 100-110 km/h. Probably about 90% highway back and forth to work

Thats about as good as it gets stock lol..about 15-18 average! With a tuner and a few other performance mods and everything else stock (ie tires/lift) you might see 20 mpgs!

Mine has averaged 12.9 for the life of the truck, and I DO NOT hot rod it. Drive like grandpa by most peoples standards. It has 2300 miles on it right now.

Just did a short trip tonight (115 miles) @ 55 mph towing my camper (~ 6000 lbs), and hand calc'd was 9.8, EVIC showed 10.0.

Return trip empty @ 60 mph hand calc'd came to 17.6, EVIC said 18.4.

I ain't getting the mpg everyone else is..what is up ? drove like grandma too !

Same trip last year in the Silverado I had (5.3 w/3.73 gears) got the same towing, but 19.4 empty. And the mpg calculator on it was ALWAYS within .1 of hand calc'd. So far, the Dodge is off by 5-10%. Only time it was less than 5% off was tonight when towing kinda heavy, and then it was off by 2%.

Now, 2 tanks were towing, and the rest were highway/city driving. Normal towing for me is a 3300 lb boat, and 2x a year I tow my camper to my hunting property, about 100 miles 1 way.
