hey everyone, took the truck in for an oil change a few days ago and they did a tsb 18 046 11 ( I cant find it anywhere but they said it is for engine performance )I could tell right away it was different (felt like it had a little more power and shifted different).Well today I took it on the highway and kept it between 70 -73 I averaged 18.3 mpg (I was getting about 14 before).I reset it when I got off the hwy and did some mixed. easy- hard driving and averaged 13.2 (before i was getting 11s , Dont know what they did but it works for me.....If anyone is interested ask your dealer if this is avail for your truck

Taking mine in a couple of weeks for oil change, is that what they called it? tsb 18 046 11? have to write that down to remember it all.

I've accessed AllProDataonline and there is to Technical Service Bulletin with that code.

Actually spoke with the service manager at my dealership [good family friend] this past Thursday and had he look into it too.

He came back with the same thing.

There is NO TSB with the code 18-046-11 on any 4th Gen Ramm 1500 models.

The "18" is a code for vehicle performance. The "11" is the build/model year. The "046" is the code for the problem's source..... it's non-existant.

talked to the stealership today about it... he said that every truck is not identical and hes problay just came up for a PCM/TCM update and it just agreed with the update and helped the truck...

some updates hurt or help a truck... its a hit or miss.. but he said a 2012 there is no TSB updates nor recalls at this time... but i will be changing my oil at the dealership and i will ask to look for updates
