For you guys that installed the v6 efan, how do you like it? Are the TYC fans holding up, besides three broken tabs during shipment? And are the Mopar fans that much better?

Thx

Is the V6 fan really better than the stock V8 fan and if so why?

the only advantage of the v6 fan is you remove the stock clutch fan. Unless your truck has significant performance modifications its a fairly pointless swap.

I removed the clutch fan and now using the stock efan with a tune instead to change the on settings.

I went with the Mopar V6 fan - worked fine -but vibrated the whole truck. Would rattle the spare change in the cup holder. I didn't notice any improvement, but I'm getting old. I took it off and put it back to stock. I have the V6 fan in the garage - probably 2 months old. $25 and come get it.

I took a TYC unit and removed the motor. I took my stock 14' Efan motor and out it in the TYC shroud. I have no vibrations and truck runs cool in the summer. Too many people have had issues with the stock TYC motor. I didn't take that chance. Glad I did it.

The Mopar fans run smoother and quieter than TYC, and are more durable as well. Only benefit to TYC is that they only cost about $100 where the OEM Mopar fan runs about $350.
