Im confused

First post mentions Warranty , so if it is under warranty, then why not have it fixed? ( you wanted to a tranny service so warranty wouldnt be denied?)

Another post mentions 300-600 bucks to take apart tranny and investigate, but if its under warranty, there shouldnt be any cost associated with it.

Another post mentions having the problem for 30,000 miles, why not take care of it sooner?

An yet another mentions the dealer saying its probably the solenoids, why havent they taken care of it?

Without hearing the noise you are describing its impossible to say if it is normal or not, the solenoid pack in the trans does make a clicking almost grinding noise. That is normal.

Is there another Dealer you can go to for a second opinion before your warranty is up?

300-600 to investigate was at a IRF. I first heard this at 42k miles and I'm at 74, been trying to have dealer look at it one every 10k to see if something changes. Other dealers are too far away that the shuttle won't drop me off.

Couldn't upload it to the form but here is a 1m video of the noise. As o say in the video, it happens 100% when it's warm and right after turning it on, sporadically afterwords. It's only as it engages reverse then goes away...

Sorry I can't really tell for sure by the video clip.
The solenoid noise should be consistent, your not talking about the squeak noise after the clunk are you? That almost sounds like brakes, or exhaust or u joint hard to say.
Also sounds like an idler pulley or accessory under the hood whining all the time the truck is running.
If it is normal solenoid pack noise, you should be able to compare to a similar truck with the 45RFE. Should be the same

That whine is from the trans... After it shifts into reverse there is a skkkkrt sound for about 2-3 secs on avarage. For example 46-48 is the trans not brakes or exhaust.

It's not exhaust or brakes.

I cant say for sure because I'm not there. but the whine noise you can hear all the time the engine is running does not sound normal.
If the dealer is telling you it is normal, they should be able to demonstrate the noise to you on another lot truck.

Sounds pretty crappy to me. I would have them check at dealer if you have warranty but if you already did that then not much you can do until it dies and they have to repair.
