I just swapped my muffler and took off my resonators. I noticed I have an uneven idle while I’m in park and. I noticed when I turned off cruise control and slowed down to about 40 to 45 my rpm gauge dropped and spiked back up. And when I’m cruising and I try to speed up it starts to make a puttering sound and then quits. When I’m idling to a stop lights my truck slows down quicker. Has anybody experienced this problem? Or know whats wrong?

May just be more noticeable now since u put a louder muffler on it. Take ur negative cable off and reset ur trucks computer. That may help it adjust.

How many miles on it? I'd take the throttle body off and give it a good cleaning.

non-chlorinated brake cleaner. Use anything else and you're liable to mess up the electronics.

What would grounding the throttle body do?

I am unsure of the exact science of it, but it works for me and other have done it too.
something about the ground smooths the idle. I used and old piece of 10 gauge wire and grounded it to the air box for my CAI.

I think any metal on the body will do. I am not sure I'd go as far as run it to the battery.
