Any benefit to towing with these sway bars? I tow a 27' travel trailer. Always looking for a more stable ride.

That is the main reason why I put one on my 2015. My 2015 gets driven easy and doesnt see any racing or aggressive driving around town...Its simply used to haul the family around and tow my regular cab to the track and back. With the Hellwig bar set to the middle setting, I dont get any sway with the 7800lb truck and trailer hooked up.

Well then. :) If I don't trade up for a 2500 I'll definitely pick up a set of these bars. My truck is 4x2.

35 yrs of driving 3.4 tons pickups. Have 2014 Crew Cab 4x4 5.7" box ram 1500. upgraded to tuftruck 1211 springs and bilsteins. which sway bar and end links do you recommend.
Probably going to go with LT truck tires, if I can figure out what to do about the 33" spare tire. if cannot figure out a spare tire option that matches 34, will probably do Michelin 33" p rated defenders.

Am bothered, no nd, by slight body roll on highway speed lane changes and super windy days, here in teh midwest. Oddly, all the roll seems to be rear end, not front.

What bilsteins did you go with? I'm wanting to stay stock height but am concerned that the 4600 may be a rougher ride than the 5100. Oh and just so I'm not hijacking, I'm thinking hard about upgrading to the hellwig sway bar!

Direct bolt in? Do they get in the way of a mag hytec diff cover?

It bolts right up using your existing sway bar end links, and clears the Mag Hytec cover without any issues. I run the same swaybar on my own trucks that also have the Mag Hytec cover installed.

Nice. New swaybar will look good under there.

It will come with mounting hardware and bolts to attach it to the axle, and then you would just use your existing end links to connect it to the frame.

I'm trying to decide if want to go with what you have and chrome plate it or go with a Coleman Racing spline sway bar set up

Is there any reason the Hellwig wouldn't bolt right up to an otherwise completely stock rear end on a 4x2?

May have to look into this. My truck always has a floaty feel even at slow speeds and rocks from side to side.

I'm thinking this would be a good addition for when I'm towing my 27' camper.

Only issue is for the guys who dont already have a factory swaybar as this unit does not come with end links. You need to use your stock links, so if the truck does not already have a swaybar, you will need to purchase links as well. Otherwise, it bolts right up without any problems.

Matt, you said you run yours in the middle hole. What would be the effect if you ran it in the closest hole? Would it be really stiff (uncomfortable ride) or could you maybe risk bending the dinky looking stock links?

Its really just personal preference. On my last truck, I ran it on the softest setting because I didnt tow heavy and I am not an very aggressive driver on the street.

I have run on all 3 settings on both of my crew cabs, and the middle just feels the most comfortable for my current needs. I have not seen any issues by running on the farthest forward setting (stiffest) aside from a little firmer ride.
