Hey guys I kind of discussed this with some fellows in another thread of mine but would like to see what people are actually getting vs. what the window sticker says which is 16 city/ 23 highway.

I have a 2016 SLT Quad cab and average 19-19.5 MPG and with 80% highway and 20% city. Stock with no mods.

I have that engine in a 2 door Wrangler. Manual tranny, with 3.73 positrac rear end.

If I drive 55, it will get 23+, on occation. I live 8 miles from work, and 3 miles from small town. I usually get aprox 18 real world.

19 for a big truck, real world is actually pretty good. That Pentistar is a great engine. I hope you have 3.92s and the 8 speed. My jeep is borderline scary fast ( for a jeep).

I also have 3.6L my mileage pretty much mirrors what you are getting.

My best was 22.5 mpg on a 350 mile trip.

With a mix of 75% city 25% highway I'm seeing 17.5 - 18.5 mpg

All city (short errands with lots of stop n go) 16 mpg

I'm getting the same mpg on mine here in the Greenville, SC area (fairly flat) and have made a trip or two out to Oklahoma and been in the same 22.5 mpg hwy numbers.

Terrain, vehicle type (CC, regular) and drivetrain make a difference for comparison too (4x4, gears).

That's about what I'm getting on my '16 Pentastar QC BH, 3.55 gears. 19 average. 17 around town, as high as 22 highway. I haven't done it yet, but, I'm guessing to get 23 mpg you'd have to be at a steady 65 mph, or below.

In addition to my most recent post to mpg..... just for the heck of it, I tried to see what might me by worst mpg. So for about a week, I drove with no regard to my typical driving style, which is mostly conservative. I hammered it off the line, seldom coasted, used the brake a lot and just wasted a lot of gas.

If my memory serves me, I got it as low as 14.9 mpg.

18 mpg. 3.6 v6 w/ 3.21 on a 2015 Bighorn CC 4x4. 50% highway 50% city. 20 miles one way to the train station. I am in PA which is on winter gas right now, which hurts the mpg's a little.

I commute 75 miles one way for work. Probably 30% city and 70% highwayish. I've been getting about 22.5mpg per tank (hand calculating). EVIC states 23.5 usually. 2015 1500 4x2 with 3.21 gears. It's about 1 mpg better than my 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe which I had before this vehicle.

My wife has this Pentstar 3.6L in her 14 Caravan...Best summertime mileage has been almost 28mpg highway with A/C on....City summertime maybe 16-17mpg...BUT...The main point I want to make is that this motor does not react well to Midwestern winter blend fuel...City 13-14mpg...Hwy 21-22mpg...The van lives in a 3 car heated garage that never goes below 45* all winter, so there is no extended warm up time to waste fuel...

FIRST Thank You for your service as a LEO !
FYI in Maine we also have the winter blend gas and I will lose 2/4 mpg on my Chevy HHR , I would guess 1/2 mpg loss because of snow tires? On my 2015 RAM so far I see not difference with Snows on and my MPG loss is about 1/2 mpg

Question WHY do you hte the 2500 HD for plowing ? I am curious ! Thanks

'17 3.6 V6 getting about the same as everybody else has reported. ~19avg with 40-60 Highway-City(suburb) driving. 16/17 just running errands with stop and go and up to 23 on the highway with cruise control at 60-65mph

What I wanted to ask was does anybody know any tricks/mods to help the mpg? I'm not complaining because this is pretty good mileage for a full size IMO but figured I would ask to see if there was anything else to squeeze out

Havent done the conversions.
But still getting really good range on the 2014 pentastar crew cab 4X4.

Can go 800+ kilometers on a full tank until the fuel tank all highway
Can go ~675-750 kilometers on a full tank city driving (lots of traffic in my city)

I mainly drive a daily 46 mile round trip commute through metro Atlanta traffic and I get between 20.5 to 22.5 depending on just how bad the stop and go traffic is. Usually I get in the high 21's over a full tank...lower if I do more lunch/errand runs...shorter trips kills it fast.

Occasionally the EVIC will tell me 23+ but it has never panned out when manually calculating. I think the EVIC uses a rather short distance for its average.

Edit: oh and I drive a 2017 Laramie Crew Cab. 3.55 2WD.

2016 CC 4x4 in 2wd mode - get about 15l/100km (16mpg) all city or 10.5l/100km (23mpg) all highway. This is with the Goodyear AT tires

I have a 2014 CC with the 3.55 gears. When i had the 17 inch rims, the best I ever got was 25 mpg, that was all highway with non ethanol fuel. Most average was around 23. I put on some 20" take off rims from a sport, and went down to 21.5 to 22 mpg average.

I have a 2017 QC 2WD. I've only put about 1400 miles on the truck so far but averaging 21 mph with manually calculation with about 70/30 highway/city. I did get 24.5 mpg on a 300 mile round trip but it was flat 60 mph with not many stops.

The EVIC reads 22+. My ford and GMC all seemed to have the same issue with showing 1-2 mpg better than actual. I'm guessing however they calculate it always favors rounding up.

Wifes Grand Caravan sees ~23 mpg on highway doing 70 mph with winter tires w studs and winterblend.

What temp you guys seeing on your oil when warmed up? In the Caravan I seldom see past 85 C (185f). Typically 80 C in winter.
