I am on the fence s&b was my first choice but they claim no gain like varaam. Can anyone verify a noticable gain with varaam or either for that matter. I am a week away from ordering and so far this forum has been spot on to all my current upgrades. thanks guys.

I think that you will notice a gain when your Vararam is used in conjunction with other mod's ie; exhaust upgrade, custom tune and 180 thero stat. The Vararam seems to be the preferred CAI by the members that drag race and they have said they do notice more of a gain from the Vararam than others. The Vararam standing alone---maybe not so much.

I have had them both and can honestly say you need more then it to notice a difference. The only reason why I got rid of my avatar am was due to the wifey. I'm having my current S&B removed as I'm going back to stock minus my Borla SS catback.

The vararam definitely improved my mpg by 1.5-2 mpg. And it sounds delightful.

well I have the carven progressive on but that is it for now. Not really a drag racer either, was just looking for a little bolt on improvement in conjuction with moes larger throttle body which is on the list as well. so the vararam improved mpg by almost 2 mpg's.now that is a noticable gain.

Yes it is, and coupled with the throttle body you're looking to purchase, you will also see performance gains. I just know you wont be unhappy with the vararam.

I had a Vararam for a little less than a year and it started falling apart, putting bits of plastic down the throttle body and parts cracking. I put the stock air box back on with an AEM dry drop in filter and I honestly can't tell the difference in performance. The Vararam sounded louder of course under throttle but mpg and butt dyno didn't change as far as I can tell.

After paying that much for the Vararam I'm sure you contacted them about the problems you had with their product. What was their response? What pieces broke off? Do you have any pictures?

Installing the Vararam is almost easier without reading the instructions. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. If you have any problems with the install I bet someone on here will be able to answer your questions.

Sorry Pull Ya, didn't keep the Vararam nor took pictures. My bad. Probably should have but just didn't. My trusted mechanic noticed it and told me to just bring in my old OEM airbox and he'd put it back together so we did that. I did post a couple of posts describing my problem with the Vararam but nothing came of it and at that point I just didn't feel like contacting the vendor I purchased it from. It's probably a little late now!

69GWC, no, a neighbor of mine is using it on his Ram. (and interestingly enough he hasn't complained of any issues with it. Sigh.)
