rwhp? or at the crank. A procharger and a built transmission will get you there.

Definitely gonna need forced induction, cam, heads, a forged stroker kit, programming, fuel system upgrades, upgraded transmission, bigger brakes.

In all seriousness, my next move if I were you would definitely be long tube headers

^^ This

It ain't gonna be cheap. You're looking at close to $10K just for the supercharger/procharger installed with dyno tuning to get it running right.

Other than getting a HP number to tell your friends about, what are you trying to achieve? Why do you think you need more?

Whipple is working on a 2.9L system for our trucks. Keep an eye out for it.

Just for realistic comparison sake, I'm sitting at 501 RWHP with basically just a Procharger + water methanol kit. The only other thing I will probably do performance wise is a set of long tubes which will get me to around 540RWHP probably.

However, I'm at 5000FT elevation, so if you are around sea level, a Procharger + water methanol kit would surely get you at least 550RWHP or more. I have an 8-speed so I haven't had to do any transmission modding, but a 6-speed would definitely break under that kind of force.

I went back home for Thanksgiving, which is in a state near sea level, and oh boy what a difference! :burnout:

Well you can always upgrade your pulley on the procharger which should push you up another 50 hp

That would result in piston ring damage with stock internals. Plus, I'm already over-driving the D1SC as much that is safe with the water-methanol system.

Full bolt ons and custom tuning will get you about 375-380hp to the rear wheels. Add heads and cam, and you will see about 430-440hp to the wheels. Add a 150 shot of nitrous, and you will be in that 550hp range to the wheels.

Boost is always an option, but not 1 that I recommend for a 5/6sp truck.

A built 6 speed would be a recommendation for boost then?
