Is this an old man fight compared to the usual under 25 spats we see on here?

But seriously, where do you get the pro series fram, might be another option for forum members. They are 100% synthetic?

From my post in the synthetic oil thread earlier this morning...

Just so some of you might know... Who see this filter on line or in person... I am quoting Jay!
"The FRAM Pro series synthetic filter is a commercial version of the Ultra filter. No sure grip, old school FRAM logo but otherwise exactly the same."

Ebay, just search for FPS10600 and you'll find the guy selling them. He was very helpful when I was asking him questions. Like stated, he said they are the exact same as the Ultra's, just in a different casing for commercial use in shops and such.

I bought some FPS for the wife's Hyundai as well...we'll be good for a couple of years now haha.

All of those filters cover the holes with the abdv, it is just that one does it flush and the others do so to the edge but not flush with the plate. Compared to the issue we currently have, just more proof other companies aren't leaving a gap as with the problem filters. Anyhow, good to see such a filter discussion started, thanks for posting those pics Thumperpa.

I emailed and called Amsoil on Friday. To this point, no response. I'm taking it off tonight and cutting it open. My OCD is in overdrive with this. I will post pics later.

Oops posted out of order

Well guys looks like our RP 10-48 s are fine ! It appears they seal outside the perimeter of the holes on the backside of the faceplate . This would explain the Mopar filter and some others looking the same . Diff design only , looks like we may see both syles from different brands of filters .

Sigh, nothing wrong with my RP filter that covers the holes at rest. or any other of the tens of filters we seen. Much better flow then Puro. Glad I have what I have, may look elsewhere unless I can get the same in the future.

That Bosch filter looked really well constructed and I believe it's synthetic but I was impressed and I guess if there good the frame ultra synthetic would work I just never really cared for fram the filter I really want to see and if it's good it will most likely be the way I go and that's the wix xp synthetic filter
