If you feel like wasting a few years of your life, go check out Bobistheoilguy. Huge forum dedicated to this question (among other oil questions).
In the end, here's my two cents: don't overthink it. Any name-brand oil will work. If you want to keep your warranty, 5w-20 is probably a good weight to stick with. Keep to the recommended change intervals (or sooner) and call it good.
As for filters, I try to stay away from super cheapo ones. The more expensive filters tend to be good for longer change intervals, but if you don't do the longer intervals, no real reason to pay the extra for the filters designed for longer changes.
Then you have people like me. We overdo it, because it gives us a little more peace of mind. I use Pennzoil Ultra and Wix XP filters, changing my oil every 6000-7000 miles.
Do what gives you peace of mind. Don't overthink it.
