ZF Limited slip

Does anyone know if the "clutch packs" in the 11 and up limited slip differentials are replaceable or available from the aftermarket? Or must you replace the entire differential?

Yes rebuildable.

Last time I check I think the LSD was less than $300, not sure about rebuilding one.

Just savin my pennies to pull the trigger.
Im at the point where the mods are gettin way more pricey but have the most impact

Sorry, the stock unit is a cone type like the auburn unit.
Yukon makes a clutch pack sure grip for the zf. It’s rebuildable

You can also put a Detroit True Trac posi unit in the ZF,but it's not cheap.You need one extra drivers side axle / the earlier AAM ring and pinion + the True trac unit itself.You end up with a virtually bulletproof limited slip,but it's gonna lighten your wallet by a considerable amount,ask me how I know,lol.
What part of Alberta are you in,i'm in Airdrie and Kurtis/Charonblk is about 10 min's away from me in the north end of Calgary.You can usually find me at Castrol on most Friday nights,my little toy runs 12.2's ,and as far as I know is still the fastest 4th Gen gas powered Ram in Alberta/Sask and B.C,although there's one young guy in Saskatoon knocking on my door with his nitrous'd 2015 R/T,lol.

my buddy has a 3.21 rear in his 18 big horn and was wondering if he can convert it into a limited slip

The 3.21 is available as limited slip so it should be doable

I just did the dura grip the other day. It’s.....umm. Aggresssive to get used to so far.

I test drove both ratios when buying my 16. In daily driving, I doubt I would feel the difference.

I got my truck off the lot end of yr deep discount. There were 3 RCSB trucks of which 2 were 5.7, the other a V6. Both the 5.7 trucks were 3.21 open. I got it cheap enough that I figure adding another ratio and LS could be done later. That said, this does have a lot of grunt, and will have even more when I do a tune and PC, so the rear end change isn't high on the list to be done.
