Is this 2005 a special edition?

First post! Have been looking for a nice clean Hemi 4x4...just found this 2005 with 56xxx on the clock. Not a scratch on it and runs like a champ. Asking price is 15k...which I thought was reasonable based on the condition.

Question though...I am pretty sure it is not a Daytona, but it has the sane hood and front airdam. There are also no emblems at all except for the hemi badge. At first I though the last owner might have done these changes, but I saw another on the road like it.

Any info would be appreciated!

Run the VIN to see what it had coming from the factory. The driver rear door looks off, but hard to tell in pictures. I'd check for body repair and repaint.

No, it may have come stock with that hood. It's a non functioning "ram air' hood but that's an SRT10 front bumper. Someone swapped them out at some point.

The only special editions for 2005 were the Daytona or the Rumble Bee and that truck is neither.

However that def sounds like a solid purchase to me tho! good looking truck regardless

Yea that paint looks off on rear door

A friend of mine found a low mileage truck that was incredibly fresh with super paint. Turned out it was a roll over that had been ******* in repair for three years in the back of a body shop. Nothing wrong with the truck but it had been pieced together during the repair.

Looks kinda like a repaint there.

like others have said....no it is not a special edition. Just an SLT or sport with the hood scoop and srt-10 bumper added

It's definitely not an SRT-10 hood. The SRT-10 hood scoop is not bolted on, it's molded into the hood. The scoop looks too long to be a Rumble Bee, so I would guess it's an aftermarket piece.

Yep, that's the same kind of hood scoop they put on the Rumblebees. The bumper is from an SRT10 though. It looks like it has also been debadged by the previous owner. So to me it looks like the previous owner did some basic mods to this truck, and like everyone else, maybe repainted some.

I'd guess it was wrecked and rebuilt m'self.
Doesn't mean it's a bad truck, but you might want to take a close look at things.

Yeah id run a car Fax On Something On It just to get a little more into the back ground of it history cause that back door has been painted

looks like a "self" special edition.

Check that rear doors jamb and all the jambs for a tapeline or overpspray....telltale sign of a repaint....

The carfax came back completely clean...I guess thats a good sign. The carfax states that the model was an "ST/SLT" with the 5.7 and 4x4.

Will definitely take a closer look at things before i sign the dotted line, hopefully no real issues!

I'd run the VIN for a build sheet to see what it originally came with. The dealer should have it available.
