Is there a difference between 2wd and 4wd leaf springs for 06-08 rams? My coworker has an 08 5.7 4x4 1500. I have an 08 4.7 4x2 1500. I took some measurements the other day, and his 4x4 sits exactly 1" higher in the front, and 1" higher in the rear. We both have 20" wheels, with 275/60R20.

I was always under the impression that the leafs were the same. Then today, I was looking over the 2008 1500 parts manual and I found 4 different part numbers for leafs.

52110136AH 1 1 61 [ZCS,ZRS] - (2wd reg cab)
52110137AG 1 6 61 [ZDS,ZSS] - (4wd reg cab)
52113120AI 1 1 62, 41, 42 [ZAS,ZNS] - (2wd quad cab)
52113141AI 1 6 41, 42, 62 [ZBS,ZPS] - (4wd quad cab)

Are the 4wd leaf springs 1" taller? Why do they have different part numbers?

I would assume they are different parts since the 4wd trucks do sit about an inch higher...

I'm going to presume there's greater arch in the respective 4X4 springs that accounts for the height difference. The different part numbers between a 4X2 or 4X4 of the same cab/bed length is possibly a little thicker leaf to account for the extra weight of a QC or CC over a RC.
