3rd Gen 1500 custom front hitch and winch mount

I started with a draw-tite service truck 16,000lb rear hitch (part no.41990-07). Cut the tube to 30.5 inches and welded the end plates on. To get it out in front of the bumper i welded a 14'' extension tube in front and (2) 45 degree supports.

Looks good man. Does the bumper fit back around it? Did you bolt it or weld it to the frame itself?

The only modification i did to the bumper was cut a hole in the plastic. the bumper sits the same as it did before the mount was installed. The mount is bolted with (6) 1/2'' bolts to the frame.

I like it man. Did you build it specifically to put a hitch mounted winch in it? :happy107:

It sticks out a lil bit further than i wanted but it will work all the same, just will have to watch parking.

yeah, i already had the winch and mount that came out of my durango when i sold it. been laying around for over a year and couldn't use it.
