after hearing a few people having 4wd vibrations after installing the bilstein 5100 shocks and leveling the truck, i decided to see if i would have the same issue tonight. Sure enough, under medium acceleration up to about 35mph i get a pretty good vibration that was never there before (at least i didn't notice anything last winter). Granted, i was on just wet roads, and no snow or ice for the tires to slip at all. Anyone found a solution to this? How can just a 1.5" lift up front cause a pretty good vibration in 4wd, unless the only reason i'm noticing it is bc it's not on slick roads where the tires can slip a bit?

I had it after my install to the max lift of 2.8 inch. It was only present until I aligned the truck. Now it is gone.

This happens due to increasing the angle of the cv joints

Did you have your truck aligned since leveling?

yup, did an alignment directly after installing the shocks. The vibes aren't really as bad as i thought, just got nervous i guess after seeing people posting about vibes/shimmies after a level. Has a little bit of shudder under medium acceleration at slow speeds but not too much, probably won't even notice in the snow or icy conditions. First time i have engaged 4wheel after the bilstein level so i got a bit worked up when i felt the vibies!!

Have you done anything to the truck since the alignment? Sounds like death wobble and alignment usually takes care of it.

Only thing i've done to the driveline is the 5100 leveling shocks and a 4 wheel alignment directly after

I'd take it back to the people that did your alignment and tell them the problem and have them check it. Tell them its a safety concern and you'd like it checked since they did the alignment.

Vibration

The vibration is coming from the cv axles if you have leveled your truck there is a place called zone off road that has a diff drop down bracket part # d2300 that will take care of the vibration hope this helps anyone with this problem

That's cool, and probably a lot cheaper than the high angle cv shafts, how much is the drop? I kinda like my ground clearance but if it will save the cv maybe it's worth it.
