My truck is a 2003 4.7 with the 5-Spd Automatic 545RFE Transmission. I am trying to find the part info needed to replace the transmission sump filter and the trans oil filter.

Since I am not currently in the USA I am trying to gather all my info via the build sheet, owners manual, and a 2004 service manual (cannot find the 2003 version).

05015267AD; 05015267AA; 05015267AB; 05015267AC are the stock codes that I am finding for the SUMP

05179267AC; 04799662; 04799662AB; 04799662AC; 05179267AA; 05179267AB are the stock codes that I am finding for the oil filter

Is there an easier way for me to narrow the search down and know for sure what Part Number fits?

Also I hate to even ask this, but could anyone verify this link by Rubberfrog still works? We have a base ban on Youtube for some lame op/infosec. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWO_DCjd0ck

There's two filters...a spin on filter like we have for oil filters and a sump filter...I would just go down to NAPA and get one of their brand filters, they are really good.

NAPA part numbers for the sump filter are: ATP 18594

The spin on filter part numbers are: ATP 18593

I did a little more searching into the old threads and think i found my answer.

Thanks SmokedRam I always find your info spot on!

Glad you figured it out. Today I saw that the 04799662AB was the spin on filter that had drain back issues, don't know if any of those are still floating around. The AA, AB etc. are just different batches of the same part and I believe is used mostly for recall purposes. The link to Rubberfrog's DIY still works, that's what I watched before I did mine. Have fun!

I appreciate it. We don’t have access to many things from our work computers, and the "dorms/tents" were staying in have several hundred people sharing a WIFI signal. So even sending texts to loved ones is sketchy at best. At least I will be able to search my own posts once I get back to the real world and play catch up.
