I have 2006 RAM, 2500 megacab, low mileage 45000, did not use much until a year ago. Blower resitor went out- blower only ran on high. dealer replaced it. 5 months later it went out again, I replaced it, now 8 months later it is out again.

Any ideas what may be causing the resistor to continue going bad?

Thanks.

I bet the blower motor is on its way out. Moisture getting into the windings or the bearings and causing more current draw on the motor.

Yep motor. When I worked for Dodge, if the resistor went for the second time it was motor time.

Thanks, looks like I will need to replace the motor. I did seem to blow well, no noise etc.. but it sounds like I need to change it.
