How often do you service your diffs? I don't ever recall changing the fluid on mine..

I change mine every 20,000 kms. In my wrangler every 15,000 kms or after I go wheeling.

By my iPhone.

Depends on whether you have a 2 or 4 wheel drive. Check level every 15,000 miles (all models), change every 72,000 miles on 4X4, or 120,000 miles on 2X4 models. :rockit:

Pull the fill plug and make sure the level is up to it by sticking your finger in.

Not sure if older trucks were different, but my 2014 owners manual says to inspect the diff casings every 20K miles and to check level if any signs of leakage are present. Also says to only change it every 20K if truck is used for "police, taxi, fleet, off-road, or frequent trailer towing".

Otherwise doesn't mention changing it. LOL

I change diff fluids every 4 years. Fluid swaps are cheap.

Since it is so easy to do I just change the fluid every 30k.

I replaced the rear diff with a Mag-Hytech cover. It has a drain plug and a magnetic dip stick.
