I have the 5.7l hemi and it have 65k miles on it. It has never been a "work" truck. The occasional boat tow (6,000lbs), but it hasn't been put to work. That being said what is my future looking like? What potential fixes do i need to save for?
thanks,
Mason

I would think as long as the maintenance has been kept up on it and you continue to keep up with it, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Eventually something will break...that goes for every truck. But I don't think you would have anything specific to worry about if she hasn't been abused.

I tow my boat (granted not a 6000lber, but an 18' Fish-N-Ski) regularly and sometimes for trips a few hours away and I have 87k miles and no issues *knocking on wood!!!*. Others have a lot more miles than that and have towed a lot heavy things too.

On another forum there is a similar thread ongoing and there is a surprising number of Hemi owners claiming 350,000 miles and more on their trucks. Surprisingly, most are still on their original transmissions, something that would have been unheard of in a Dodge truck prior to the 45/545RFE transmission...

Good to hear, I'm at 150 and all is well. Engine wise the Timing Chain Tensioner starts to get brittle around 120 K Miles in my case anyways.

Timing chain was also loose on mine on my second cam swap, not saying it was worn out but for a performance standpoint it was out of spec for me. Just change trans filters and fluid and keep up with general maintaince on the truck, plugs, wires/coil boots, oil and filters.
