I use recycled oil. I change it every 10,000 miles and I have over 300,000 miles on my truck.

I used RP in mine for one change, burned a quart of it within a week. I ended up buying about 9 quarts total to keep it going for just 3000 miles. I used a K&N filter and had issues with oil pressure, my coworker said he also had pressure issues on his Chevelle 454 alcohol injected. Since I switched to Mobil 1 full synthetic 5-30 and haven't burned a drop, runnin a bulk Valvoline filter from work which I recently found out is just a rebranded Purolator filter :D

I have used Royal Purple in some of the cars I've built up for racing. It really does hold it's properties better than any oil I've sent to have tested. But I don't think the expense is needed for a daily driver vehicle. Both my vehicles get Mopar.
I get mine at the dealership where I work. Little known secret - Mopar synthetic is Valvoline and Mopar filters are Purolator.
