I found a 2004 2500 24V QCSB list for $12,000. The truck is a Laramie, has no rust (not even over the rear wheels). Interior is in great shape. But it has 280,000 miles. The price still seems pretty good. Opinions?

Ehh a little high IMO but sounds like a good truck, I would try for under 10 with the miles

Good truck, but like ghost said, you can probably get them down more because of the miles. Is everything else working good, engine components, tranny, ect?

What engine is it? 04-04.5? H.O? There were like 3 or 4 different versions sold that year depending on when and where it was made and sold. Is it stock or does it have any mods?

Depending on those, you will see quite a price difference. But w/o that, I agree with the above, a little high. The Cummins are great engines, you are just starting to get a little high there w/o knowing the history and what that truck has been through.

I would try to stay away cause that's getting pretty high even for a diesel unless you can get a good deal

It's not the miles on the motor that would worry me it's that it's a truck closing in on 300k miles ad you don't know how it was maintained
The motor might VE built for the mileage but dodge didn't build the truck for it

A lot of things happen in 280k miles.

What if they oil wasn't changed between 131k and 165k for instance? Who knows what could have gone on with that thing. Too many miles to pay that much. Talk them waayyy down.
