So this is my first post.
My truck is making a click noise when wheels are at full lock or even close too it. Reverse or drive. 33". Tires but not rubbing.
Crawled under and found a polished looking spot ( contact between lower control arm and spindle ) on driver and pass. Side !
Id this contact normal for a steering stop? Is something wearing out?
Cant find any ball joint slop or tie rod end play ?

Any info helps guys! Thanks!

Tell us more about the truck. Are you lifted? How wide are the tires? What wheels are you running? How many miles? Do you do any off roading? PS welcome!

Hmm, the contact point where the tire is rubbing at the LCA I would say wouldn't be a "clicking" noise...

My guess would be a ball joint. Perhaps even the dust covers rubbing on the backside of the wheels.

Does the click sound like a cross between a socket wrench and a bb in a tin can? I am trying to diagnose the a clicking noise too cept mine happens if I turn the wheel about 1/2 turn or more. Mine is an '06 as well.

I had a click at full lock. forward or reverse. Took it to the shop ended up being a broken tie rod.

Oh and I've had the same "rub" marks on my control arms since mile 6.

The click is pretty new though

Well i checkednout the tie rods today and they "look" good.
Everyone who hears it says it sounds "tinny"
Maybe the rotor shields?
Anyone else have any input ?!
