Pulled into the driveway tonight, looked over at my truck and was like wtf is that? Got out to inspect the passenger front wheel well and it is covered in grease. Look down at the boot, yup covered in grease too and everything else around it. UGH. I've had nothing but trouble with the passenger cv boot since having it first replaced last year. This will be at least the 4th cracked boot replacement since then. The driver side is still stock with no problems. I think I'm going to have the passenger one replaced with a factory one this time. These aftermarket ones are not holding up for anything.

The greasy pics

I think it's breaking because it's aftermarket crap LOL I have read that the aftermarket boots don't hold up as well as the factory ones. I don't do offroading or anything like that. The driver side is factory and I've had no problems with it in the almost 5 years I've had the truck.

yeah, something better cuz I'm getting tired of this LOL they've tried to say it's the leveling kit, but I wasn't having problems until the factory boot was replaced with an aftermarket one. It is not the leveling kit.

I don't think you'll find a factory boot. You'll likely have to get a factory CV shaft assembly.

I was putting in NAPA ones. I haven't replaced this busted one yet. Shop is looking into why this is happening. Factory driver side is fine, I've had this passenger one replaced 3 or 4 times now. We really don't know what is going on.
