help identify dragging hose

I have this hose dragging that I don't know where it goes, looks like its connected to a junction box for brake line. 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 5.7L gas

Any help you can offer on what it is and where it connects to would be greatly appreciated.

not sure if I should let my daughter borrow my truck or not.

That is the vent hose for the differential. You need to make sure is is clear of any debris. If it is plugged it will cause the axle seals to blow out causing leaks. There should be a clip holding the hose to the frame.
