How do I know what transmission I have?

It's a 05, 2 wheel drive quad cab with the 5.7 hemi motor in it. The display on the odometer has 1,2,D but feels like it shift more then 3 times. Hope it's not a stupid question I'm new to the dodge scene.

Is there a web site that you can put your vin # and get a spec sheet on your truck? Thanks

Nice looking truck! But if there is something wrong, you can get a code from the truck that will tell you if something is wrong.

Nothing is wrong with the truck at all. Just wondering if it a 3-4-5-6 speed tranny.

Should be either a 4 or 5 spd. Go to the link below and type in your VIN under equipment listing and it will give you all of your vehicle specs.

This is the type of trans you have. And most likely its a 5 speed auto.

Data plate on the driver's side of the transmission above the pan about in the middle. It's a 545RFE. Welcome to the forum..
