Def' look into the custom trans tuning option available w/ the SC3865. Takes a while to tweak the adjustments but its meant to be night and day. You also have the canned tunes and other options that come with owning a SC programmer. In addition you can also look into shift kits, Sonnax LP Booster.

So what do gain realistcally from a runner and an otherwise stock truck with 4.7 motor? 2002

Superchips 3865 with the advanced trans tuning, and a Sonnax line pressure booster and you will be good. You can custom tune your trans and when you do set your torque management at 8%.
