Just curious...what do you think I will run?

What do you guys think my truck will do after the 268 is put in and tuned? Right now my best 1/4 is 14.63 and best 0-60 is 5.41sec.

Depends on wheel spin is my guess, but good choice for your rig so I reckon 5.2 will be doable! You have good experience with your truck and racin it so that will help but shiftin up in the 6 grand range will really get you through the Trap Thingy!

It'll run like **** drop it off here,in Ct. I'll take care of it for you. 5.33 -1/4 in 14.30 no faster imo. Good luck . I envy you.

Thats fast teach, Nightrunner has stroker motor, That doesnt beat the 14 sec mark. We are talking about a nearly 2 ton truck right?

14.0-13.8 depends on track conditions and weather mostly. What is your normal track set up? You will prob need a few revisions to nail down the tune also and let the truck get used to it. You might be faster just depends on how the truck is prepped.

With his mods as well as the new cam and a custom tune he should definitly be in the 13's.

But this is a real track. Right? Optimum circumstances. What a bout a slub, like me on the back road. It just ain't happening imo. Even with the op's truck. Hell any truck for that matter. getting the times on the sc3865. I dunno bout breaking the 14 sec mark. That'll be tough imo.

It can happen on a back road if its straight enough to get to 95-99. Im not sure how much motor work you can have done on superchips alone, im impressed that teach's truck is running a good a/f on just superchips with a cam and headers.

With the right mods it really isn't that hard, it just takes a combo that works well together. Truckin should have more than enough to get in the 13's.

Rocket... Gary's Hemi runs low 12s on motor with a sim set up as trucking and 11s on spray. Its not that hard just have to have a good setup like teach said.

look on dt. tons of trucks in the 13s, 12, and some in the 11s

His truck is not set up for racing.

I guess one of my questions is what wheel and tire set up are you going to be using. Because the 20's and bigger tires could hurt you. Buying a cheap set of 17's and getting some DR's (maybe some 26 inch ones) would help your time a bunch. I mean look at fast4.7 (who has a hemi) all he did was change out the same 20's you have for some 17's and dr's and he dropped over a sec on his run (i think i am remembering his times right) But thats why I ask.

Everytime I've gone down to the track I've been in full srteet trim, no weight reductions, 20's with the 305 street tires on them and they have worked alright. After the cam though I'll see how it runs like that and then see if one of the guys around here still has his 28x12x17 Hoosier Slicks and go from there
