Good: the towing mirrors I bought off of a guy on DT arrived today.

Bad: The passenger side is broke.

I sent a PM to the guy, I did not see an insured sticker on the box. I hope this works out.

I got a PM back from the seller. He did not insure the package. He is going to go to the post office Monday to see if anything can be done. I doubt it. He asked what I wanted to do. What do you think is a fair thing to ask. I paid $250. The drivers side is in perfect condition. They are Mopar accessories, not the ebay specials.

If its not in the box, it was broken before he shipped it and he didnt tell you. Get a full refund. If he wants the mirrors back he can pay return shipping as well.

Thats just straight up criminal. Like you wouldnt notice...

The box looks like it has been through alot, and there is a hole in it, so the plastic piece that broke off could have fallen out. The seller did not package it very well, he did good around the glass, but not where it broke.

The seller also said in the PM "please believe me that they were not broken when they were shipped"

I like to try to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Someone over there posted up a dealer that was selling these brand new for 250 a set now. Go that route!

I would ask for a full refund and he pays the return shipping. It was the sellers responsibility to package it correctly. It's not personal, just business.

The seller is going to see if he can get anything out of the post office on monday. I will see what he comes back with. I think I am going to ask for a full refund and he pays shipping like said, or ask for the money for a new passenger side ($239 locally).

This is why I never ship stuff with USPS. Spend a couple more bucks and go with UPS or Fedex.

That sucks man. I would do like the others said and try to get a refund out of the seller. Did he post any pics of the mirrors in the for sale thread that you bought them from?

look how he had the pics on the ad. always leaving that part hidden. i bet they were broken before it was shipped...
