my buddys 2005 ram 1500 daytona, the pass side cv axle was making noise. we removed it and male splined shaft coming out off the differential was stripped and twisted. so even if we bought a new cv shaft, the female end would not be able to go back onto the truck. i can fine a 1500 (front axle) any were? were do we go from here

Oreillys should beable to get a new shaft for you but as for the female end you might have to go to a junk yard. Sometimes I've seen the axles splines spun like you say yours is but the female end in the diff is actually still ok.

Oh man, I would call and ask the dealer what they'd do and then take their advice and try to go from there...?
