Decided to mess with my exhaust over the weekend until I decide which system I'm going to go with. Had to try and get rid of the excessive in cab resonance so i tried a down pipe off the muffler which used to have nothing. Amazing how much better it sounds with such a cheap ugly fix. Also decided to try a stubby antenna.

I wonder why the sound changes by adding a dump tip rather than just straight out?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe because the exhaust sound is not bouncing off the whole undercarriage of the truck since its shooting straight down you're getting more sound of the exhaust rather than the the drone of it bouncing of all the metal and whatnot that is use the truck

That makes sense to me. All I can say is it was enough of a difference to make me hold off on buying a whole new system right away. For $10 it was a great investment.
