Like I've said before, "fall" in and "roll" out, now how easy is that? Besides with no bumper and the tailgate handle on the inside you got to be able to reach it from outside. And you guys think I didn't plan all this out before hand. lol

Very nice man! Does it make it any easier to close or just open?

This one just makes it easier to open.

And Trup, I might almost agree with you if I didn't have the wife and kids here. Ultimately it ends up being hidden and makes opening the tailgate safer for them and the truck. So I say its a win win.

The EZ-down just controls the drop, it doesn't help with closing. If I have a complaint with it is that it is just a tad slow in opening. But it looks cool when you pop it and step away as it opens.

I think it's great. Although I do get some amusement out of watching my girlfriend (she only weighs 110) try to shut the tailgate on her dads 2500 and my 1500 Kinda Comical. Squat and push up really hard. Then let out a big exhale like you just went up 30 flights of stairs. lol

and not only that they will help extend the life of your tailgate cables to bc you are not just dropping the tailgate on them.

when i first installed them on my truck the cables wanted to lay funny to when I went to shut them but they do great now, no worries.

i have had one on my truck for well over a year. it still causes the cable to "lay funny" and just recently broke the lens on my tail light. i also found that it makes the tailgate slightly harder to close. i am most likely going to take it off soon, and get one of those torsion bar type tailgate assists. makes it easier to open and close.

The E-Z Downs are good, cause my tailgate weighs bout 25-30 pounds,i had a chance to let a tailgate on a 2011 3/4 ton and i bet it weighed less than 10 pounds.

They weigh the same. It's all about balancing the hinge point.

I have one of those dampers on my truck and love it, the only downfall is you get used to having it and when you open a buddies tailgate and drop it you feel like a *******. But they are well worth the money.
