The basics: 2003 RAM 1500 LoneStar. Reg. Cab 5-speed 3.7 V-6.

I was replacing my radio with a pro wire harness and new Pioneer. As i was putting my new stereo in, my ground or positive wire broke loose and hit something (most likely metal) and made a spark. I quickly took all of that out and put my stock radio back in. I try to turn it on and nothing. No radio. I did a once over of the fuses and none were blown. I then realized that my dome, park lights, and headlights do not work w/o the key on "on" or "acc". Nothing does. When the key is on, my lights work and the lights on the radio buttons work and so does the dome. Still no radio. I HATE dealing with electrical problems. Especially on my 7000 dollar FIRST truck that i have done everything on. Can anyone help me with this?

AGAIN: NO BLOWN FUSES IN MAIN BOX AND NO BURNED WIRES...

that's weird, but it still sounds like a fuse, just because it looks good doesn't always mean it is

Anyone know the exact fuse for the radio? There could only be so many thing with the radio. The button lights work though.

Congrats on the new Ram. You have the owner's manual handy? That should point your right to the fuse you're after...

No owners manual. It kinda fell apart so it had to go. Shouldnt the lights on the radio not work either though?

Just grasping at straws here - I hate electrical work also - isn't there a fuse in the power wire from the radio?

If you have acess to a multi gauge just pop the cover and check the contnuity on the tops of the fuses. You can touch the top 2 posts on each fuse to check them without having to remove and inspect the fuse.

Sounds like you blew the accessories fuse, I'd start there. And when your doing any kind of electrical work on car remove the neg side of battery before you start.

Its wierd that stuff only works with key on acc or "on" If a fuse was blown, it wouldnt work either way.
