Really? Does it sound decent? I've heard of people doing a turn down on the factory muffler, but not a cut out.

Its not bad on the stock setup but its so much better with headers

It is 2.5 coming off the cats into the y. 100% certain bc I just found my old stock y pipe in the garage while cleaning it out.

Yeah, its great! I have my cutout about 2' in front of the factory muffler - quiet when I want it........loud as hell when I want that!

There is a youtube vid out there somewere, "dual hemi cutouts." On either side of the trans pan there is enough room to put a cut out. And thanks Teach, I though the pipe before the y looked smaller. Any way im glad i checked before i ordered. I was in a toss up between DMH , and QTP. Bout the same price. Then it hit me, y not just buy 2 cheap y pipes and buy the e- cutouts seperate. So. Summit has steel cutout pipe 2.5" 26.00 a piece!!! and the QTP cutout valves for i think 160ish. A decent amount cheaper. Summit hasd there own warranty on top or the QTP motors for the company. so In the mail Are,-- 2, 2.5" cutout pipes, 2, QTP motors, gaskets, clamps and wiring harness. Figured dual cutouts had to be louder than one. And its cheaper then LT's or a tuner. Plus with the new baby in the truck i can quiet her down a bit when need be. And in the works for the weekend is a homebrew CAI.( BTW is someone with a **** pipe intake could pm me how to attatch it to the TB) thad be much appreciated. ** and sense the summit pipe isn't stainless im gunna paint it w/ high temp paint to slow down the rust a bit** cant wait

Its not factory, i have a super truck exhaust

And i just checked my summit bill 377.80 with shipping in 7-10 days for 2 ELECTRIC CUTOUTS!!!!

thats actually alot cheaper then ordering from the manufacturer, And clamp first cause i have no patience, then get em welded on there when i get off duty

get a rubber (or silicone) adapter. Should be 3 1/2". Then clamp it on.
