First off, hello everyone. My names jake and I'm new here. So..... I have an 07' brilliant black pearl regular cab shortbed hemi ram. It is the only one I've seen around my parts, are they sort of ''uncommon''?

This is my truck.

Yep, they make some damn fine ar15's. I'm kind of glad I don't see many, everybody is always complimenting the truck. You are right, once you get something it seems as though everyone else gets on at the same time!

When I bought mine, it was very hard to find a RC. To top it off I wanted a dually so even tougher to find an RC. Another huge PITA is and something that ****** me off is that the regular cabs are only available in the lower trim levels Tradesman (ST) and Bighorn (SLT), at least for 2014 3500 models.

Guess everybody these days wants a truck / car. I already had a car, I just wanted a truck with 8 ft bed but reg cab which was tough to find.

3rd gens might be more rare, not sure, 4th gens, more common when they came out with the Express group.

Great looking truck BTW.

Got a Regular cab cummins dually....2004, not sure how rare they are but you sure don't see too many regular cab duallies, no matter what the brand. Sure they're out there, but you do see ALOT more crew cab or extended cab duallies over single cabs.

I know in my area I'm a minority, 95% of Rams here are QC or CC. Most reg cabs I see are fleet trucks, kinda rare to see a loaded reg cab.

Thanks for all the replies. When I said "rare" I meant something more along the lines of "less common". I know they aren't rare like a Plymouth superbird. I do appreciate everyone's feedback and will probably be asking many more questions in the future.

Yeah, it is a good lookin truck.

I'd have to say less common too.. Because when I look at it, it makes me think what happened to the rest of it lol.

Bet it'll get up and go though with that HEMI and none of the extra fat the QC's have.

Thanks guys, it does have some good power, I currently have an airaid cold air intake and a edge evolution programmer on it. Plan to add some MagnaFlow duals soon. It's going to the shop Monday for a water pump and flush, 105k miles on it now.

Well yea majority of people that bought new trucks in the past 15yrs tend to get a bigger cab. You still see RC trucks but most are work trucks/ lower model trucks, so usually it will have a v6 or small v8 engine.

Before I bought my truck I was on a Chevy delership looking a new(back in 09-10) there must of been 30 RC silverados. An only 1 was a v8, but it was 4x4

But dodge seemed a lot more open about putting there big motor in the RC Rams, unlike GM an Ford

Thanks goodness! Those were/are my 2 requirements to buy a Ram, rcsb and hemi. If that combo wasn't available, I wouldn't be driving a Ram right now. This is my second hemi rcsb, first one was a 2008. :favorites13:

Very cool mods to come! Are you gonna touch the suspension at all?
