Well... my stepdad has an 04 QC Hemi... he never (and I mean never) maintains his truck, cleans it, or anything. He's the type of person to just start it and go and that's all.

So last night it finally caught up to him. His truck over heated, and so he put some water in it, turned around to come back home, then it started makin all kinds of noise and died. And now it won't start. All I can do is kinda laugh because he never checks fluid levels, etc. I'm pretty sure the motor is fried...
What do yall think?

Anyways, this is a good reason to keep an eye on things with your truck lol

They will give him scrap value prob unless its a shop who wants to install a motor. I doubt the motor on that truck would even be worth the block unless its hot tanked then bored. Junkyard motors are round 2,500 on up depending on the mileage. I vote the first idea lol or sell him your motor and put that towards a motor for yours.

Yeah its a 2wd, i think it has like in the 70s... his truck is a disaster area inside. He doesn't take care of vehicles very well... but i really want a house vs a badass motor unfortunately. :( *tear*

Dang that sucks, my parents are the same way but they never keep a vehicle that long for it to catch up with them

So what ended up happening to the truck? Did he get everything fixed or a new truck?

OH! sorry to leave yall hangin lol

Well, come to find out the motor was fried, the pistons were screwed and they wanted $5k to fix it obviously. So, he traded it in on a 2011 Ford Crew Cab 4x4 since his buddy works at a Ford dealership, they were the only ones really wanting his Dodge with a blown motor lol

Guess now you can see if he can run 70K in a Ford without any maintenance.
