right axle problem

Had the 1500 in shop putting in new upper and lower control arms and new axles left side went well then the right side going smooth install control arms then the axle spline going in to diff were strip what could cause this??? Any help would be great.

Just so I'm tracking, the half shaft splines on the DIFF side were stripped?

For that to happen, something had to seize up. I wouldn't suspect it was caused from the Diff unless you were in 4wd and have a locker. Brakes/Unit Bearing would be the first thing I check. I'd also pull the diff cover and inspect in there.
